Situational awareness is the skillset and abilities required to observe, analyze, and react to different stimuli in our lives in order to maximize safety. Situational awareness is your mental picture of what is going on around you. It allows you to observe what is going on, orient yourself to the situational and surroundings. When you are alert and aware, you can decide if any action is necessary to remain safe.

This course will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to properly identify and assess threats from everyday environments. Topics covered include situational awareness as it relates to your home, your workplace, and your community.

This course uses a combination of presentation, exercises, and knowledge assessments to deliver and reinforce concepts.
